About
What is Biophilia?
Biophilia is the inborn need to connect with nature and all living organisms. Translated from ancient Greek, it is “The love of life”. Biophilia is rooted in human nature. This design isn’t only desired but has countless of scientifically proven perks for people’s overall health. It is confirmed that being in contact with nature has cognitive benefits such as- enhances creativity, clear thoughts, strengthens memory and builds up the attention lifespan.
What is Preserved Moss?
Moss art is made with 100% natural moss that require no maintenance. The moss is no longer living, but preserved by replacing the water in the plant with Glycerin, a natural oil that mimics the water in the plant. The moss still appears live and can maintain a natural appearance for years to come(5-10 years with proper care)

Health Benefits

Psychological
Elements of biophilia like preserved moss reduce emotions like anxiety, anger, fatigue and confusion. According to a study by Oliver Heath, biophilic design in schools increased student learning rates by 20-25%, improved attendance and reduced impacts of ADHD.
Physiological
Furthermore, Biophilic design has physiological advantages such as lowered blood pressure, fewer stress hormones like cholesterol, expedited healing and the prevention of sickness. Healthcare recovery times decrease by 8.5% and pain medication is reduced by 22%.
Economical
Biophilic design relieves undesirable symptoms, improves worker productivity by 8% and reduces work absences. Scientists found that consumers are likely to spend 25% more in heavily vegetated streets and sales increase up to 40% when stores have a natural element in their stores. Research also shows that guests are willing to up top 23% more for a room with biophilic elements. Properties that incorporate this design also fetch higher selling prices. Biophilic design is an economic investment in health, productivity and profit that is scientifically stated.

Aftercare
- The moss’s softness varies with relative humidity; a normal range is between 45% and 65%.
- If the moss becomes dry (below 30% humidity), do not touch or spray it to prevent damage or color leaching.
- The product should never be watered or placed in direct sunlight.
- Dusting can be done carefully using a blow dryer on a low temperature setting.
